Namaste dear one,
It has been an incredible honor to have served this community for the past 16+ years. Many years ago, yoga changed my life in ways I never knew possible, and it was what inspired me to become a yoga teacher and then studio owner. During this time, I have met the most wonderful people from all over the world and have shared this journey with some of the most dedicated and loving yoga teachers. Each of you, in one way or another, has impacted me greatly.
With a deeply grateful and humble heart, I share with you that November will be my last month owning and operating Seaside Yoga Sanctuary. This decision is very bittersweet for me and did not come lightly. I will miss so much and so many. At the same time, I’ve been called to step into a new chapter, which includes eventually moving out of the area with my family. It was most important to me to find the right person who could carry the heart of SYS forward, along with their own vision of growing community through our beautiful yoga space. It is with great joy that I introduce to you Amanda and Kyle Hoff, the owners of Salty Soul Sanctuary. They will officially take over our yoga space in the Plaza, on Saturday, December 2nd.
Below is a brief introduction from Amanda – I know you will love her just as much as I do! Amanda has so many wonderful ideas she plans to bring to our community, I am excited for all that is to come.
As you can imagine, I have so much I could say, 16+ years worth! And I promise that more information will be shared during this next month. First and foremost, I will continue to teach for as long as I am in the area. I look forward to having more time in the classroom and availability for private clients. All of our beloved teachers and classes will also remain in the space.
I know that change is hard – even when the change is good! It’s not easy to let go of what we know and embrace the unknown, but yet, isn’t that what much of our practice is all about? If we learn anything from yoga at all, I hope it’s the reminder that all things are impermanent and that it’s our willingness and ability to be fully present and participatory with the current of life, that brings clarity, grace, and peace.
As always, we have delightful workshops and events this month, a new class added to the schedule led by Amanda, an outdoor Thanksgiving Day Yoga practice at Devendorf Park, and a special gathering at the studio to be announced soon. I hope to see your beautiful faces at the studio this month.
With blessings, love, and gratitude.
