We are a yoga community located in the heart of downtown Carmel, serving all of Monterey County.
Yoga is for EVERYONE. Our mission is to serve our community by creating a sanctuary to promote Health and Wellness through the practice and education of yoga.
At SYS, we offer yoga and healing arts that is accessible to all ages and physical abilities. Our yoga classes are diverse in styles and levels of yoga; both for the seasoned practitioner and new to yoga. Classes are offered indoors, outdoor, and live stream.
What you need to know:
1. As our number one priority is health and safety. High standards of cleaning have always been implemented and will continue. Please do not come to class if you are not feeling well.
2. We have reopened our prop room for general use. Removable/washable covers are provided for bolsters and a cleaning spray to wipe down mats and props after each use. As props are frequently incorporated into classes, we encourage students that are not comfortable in sharing props to bring their own.
3. We are fortunate to have a large and open space. Our front doors are kept open during class for fresh air flow (a screen placed out front for privacy and utilize our radiant floor heating and other heaters for warmth). Our HVAC unit flows fresh air directly from the rooftop.
4. Class passes (2, 4, 8, and unlimited) are valid for indoor, outdoor, and live streaming classes - they also include unlimited access to the video library while your pass is current!
Our classes are instructional based; incorporating the basic principles of alignment, breath awareness, and self exploration. Props are available and offered during class to modify, support or teach a posture.
